Winter Weather

I love winter.  I really do.  This morning though, after spending more than a week in sub-zero temperatures, I said (for maybe the first time in my life) that I was ready for winter to be over.  But my Saint Bernard puppy is still enjoying it!

I'm ready for spring, but it looks like we've still got at least a few more weeks of winter weather left.  At least it's pretty!  Here are some of my favorite winter-inspired designs.

This is one of my newest winter designs.  I'm in love with the simplicity and colors.
I printed one on my pearl metallic cardstock and it was simply stunning.

More snowflakes, but paired with a less commonly
used color for winter. I love the bright contrast!

Who says you have to give up flowers/foliage just because it's winter?
Bright red berries paired with white flowers and a wooden plank
background is a truly gorgeous combination.

And this year's winter roundup just wouldn't be complete
without an homage to one of my new favorite movies!

Stay safe and warm!

Pocketfolds

I adore pocketfold invitations for weddings.  They are a simple and elegant way to keep all of your wedding stationery together and they look just lovely.  These are some of my favorite pocketfold invitation designs from the past couple of years.

I love the combination of bright blue with brown kraft accents.

This champagne metallic cardstock is just dreamy.
I used it for my Christmas cards last year.

I created this design for a handmade invitation contest last year.
It was inspired by a good friend's wedding in the Georgia mountains.

Recently I decided to try a new type of pocketfold invitation, in
which the invitation is bracket shaped.  I love how it turned out!

And don't forget--even if you are a DIY bride, you can purchase any of my invitation designs to print yourself and put together your own pocketfold invitations!

Happily Ever After

I grew up as a true tomboy.  Tree-climbing, scar-acquiring, dirt in my hair, mud under my fingernails tomboy. Sometime after high school, my love for all things princess emerged with a passion that seems to be making up for all the years I spent playing with bugs and trucks.  I have to admit that designing princess invitations is one of my favorite past-times.  Enjoy these new creations, which are fun for kids and adults alike!

Adorable Pink Invitations

I'm a bit ashamed at how long it's been since I updated this blog!  Things have just been so crazy busy that I kept putting it off.  Daisy Design Shop on Etsy is absolutely flourishing!  (588 sales as of this moment!)  I've also been adding a ton of new stuff, so I'd like to share some of my favorites now.  It's no secret that pink is my favorite color, and I've been reveling in it lately!  :)

I literally just listed this invitation a few minutes ago.  I'm in love with the shabby chic/country cottage feel of these roses!

A friend of mine with a four-year-old daughter introduced me to the world of Lalaloopsy.  They are adorable little rag dolls with the cutest names, like Crumbs Sugar Cookie and Tippy Tumbleina.  Well, I made a birthday invitation inspired by these little cuties, featuring buttons and bows!

Last, but certainly not least, I am in love with the new trend of hot air balloons and I can't resist sharing this baby shower invitation featuring some vintage balloons (this one also comes in brown/blue!):

Check out the shop for many more new designs!  <3

More Options!

I'm super excited to announce that I am now offering more handmade options for invitations!  Today's brides are very into having wedding invitations that are uniquely their own, and buying handmade is becoming more and more popular.  My newest listing features one of my favorite pairings: burlap + lace.

The invitation itself is flat-printed and the background is a design made to resemble burlap and lace, but it will arrive in style with a chocolate brown envelope and handmade belly band of real burlap, lace and raffia:

Included in the set is also an outer envelope in cream so that the belly band remains intact in the mail.  The band slides off easily so guests can open the invitation without damaging the gorgeous lace.

I'm currently working on some more handmade options, including a fun new baby shower invitation.  Check back soon!
